Car
If you are driving from Mount Kenya, head towards Nanyuki Town. From the main gate of Mount Kenya National Park, take the C77 road towards Nanyuki. The drive is about 29 kilometers and should take approximately 40 minutes. Once you reach Nanyuki, look for the signpost indicating the Equator at Rehema House, A 2, which is about 10 minutes from the town center. You will find a marker on the road where you can take pictures and learn about the Equator.

Public Transportation
To reach the Equator using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mount Kenya to Nanyuki. The journey will take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Nanyuki, inform the driver you want to get off at the Equator marker near Rehema House. The fare for the matatu should be around 100-150 Kenyan Shillings. Upon arrival at the marker, you can take time to explore the area, take photos, and learn about the geographical significance.
