Once you reach Nanyuki, look for the signpost indicating the Equator at Rehema House, A 2, which is about 10 minutes from the town center. You will find a marker on the road where you can take pictures and learn about the Equator.

    To reach the Equator using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mount Kenya to Nanyuki. The journey will take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
