Car
If you are driving from Nanyuki town, head southwest on the Nanyuki - Marura Rd (also known as the A2 road). Continue for approximately 5 km, and you will see a sign for Lonrho Waterhole on your right. Make sure to keep an eye out for the sign as it can be easy to miss. The waterhole is located down a short dirt road, where you can park your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Lonrho Waterhole using public transportation, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki town heading towards Marura. You can find matatus near the Nanyuki market. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Lonrho Waterhole. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance down a dirt path to reach the waterhole.
Walking
If you are already near the area and prefer walking, from the Nanyuki - Marura Rd, walk along the road heading southwest for about 5 km. Once you spot the sign for Lonrho Waterhole, take the dirt path leading down to the waterhole. The walk is scenic, but be prepared for some uneven terrain as you approach the waterhole.
