Car Rental
If you are traveling by car, start from Nanyuki town. Head southeast on the A2 road towards Nyeri. After approximately 12 kilometers, look for the sign for Naro Moru. Turn left onto the C77 road. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers, passing through Gitinga Village. You will see the entrance to Mount Kenya Naro Moru Park Gate on your right. Ensure to pay the park entrance fee at the gate, which is around KES 1,500 for adults and KES 750 for children.
Public Transportation
To reach Mount Kenya Naro Moru Park Gate via public transport, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki to Nanyuki town center. From the center, take another matatu heading towards Naro Moru. Inform the driver that you need to stop at the Naro Moru Park Gate. The fare is approximately KES 100 to KES 150. After disembarking, walk about 2 kilometers on the road through Gitinga Village to reach the gate. Be prepared to pay the park entrance fee upon arrival.
Taxi Service
For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Nanyuki or nearby towns directly to the Mount Kenya Naro Moru Park Gate. The taxi ride takes around 30-40 minutes and should cost between KES 2,500 to KES 3,500, depending on negotiation.
