If you are driving from Mount Longonot, head east on the Longonot Road towards Naivasha. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway (A104). Turn left onto the highway and proceed for about 15 kilometers. Take the exit towards Kijabe and follow the signs to Mawingu Camp Kenya, which is located at the address 20651, Kijabe. The camp is approximately 5 kilometers from the exit. Be aware of possible toll fees on the highway.
Public Transportation
To reach Mawingu Camp Kenya using public transport, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Mount Longonot to Naivasha town. The fare is around 50-100 KES. Once in Naivasha, look for a matatu heading towards Kijabe or the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. Inform the driver that you are heading to Mawingu Camp Kenya, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From the drop-off point, you may need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the camp. Ensure you have local currency for the matatu fares.
