Walking
If you are starting from the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), exit the building and head towards Uhuru Park. Walk through the park towards the main road (Uhuru Highway). Once you reach the highway, cross at the designated pedestrian crossing to reach the other side. After crossing, turn left and walk along the highway for about 10 minutes until you see a sign for Tubman Road. Turn right onto Tubman Road and continue walking for about 5 minutes. City Market will be on your left, just before the junction with Muindi Mbingu Street.

Public Transport (Matatu)
From the Nairobi Central Business District, find a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Kenyatta Avenue. Board the matatu and inform the conductor that you want to alight at the City Market stop. The journey will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you alight, walk towards Tubman Road, which is adjacent to the market. City Market is located on Tubman Road.
