Getting There

  • Walking from Nairobi CBD

    Start at the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD). Head northwest on Uhuru Highway, passing the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) on your left. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Waiyaki Way. Turn left onto Waiyaki Way and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the entrance to Karura Forest, Gate D, on your left at QR79+47F, Kitisuru. The entrance is marked, and you should see signs directing you to Gate D.

    From the Nairobi CBD, head to the matatu stage at Kencom or Railways Bus Station. Board a matatu heading towards Westlands (routes 34, 36, or 45 are common).
