Walking from Nairobi CBD
Start at the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD). Head northwest on Uhuru Highway, passing the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) on your left. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Waiyaki Way. Turn left onto Waiyaki Way and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the entrance to Karura Forest, Gate D, on your left at QR79+47F, Kitisuru. The entrance is marked, and you should see signs directing you to Gate D.

Public Transport (Matatu) from Nairobi CBD
From the Nairobi CBD, head to the matatu stage at Kencom or Railways Bus Station. Board a matatu heading towards Westlands (routes 34, 36, or 45 are common). Inform the conductor you are going to Kitisuru or Karura Forest. After about 20-30 minutes, alight at the Westlands bus stop. From there, you can walk to Karura Forest Gate D. Head towards Waiyaki Way and walk along it for approximately 1 kilometer. You will find Gate D on your left at QR79+47F, Kitisuru.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Nairobi CBD. Start your journey by cycling towards Uhuru Highway, then continue to Waiyaki Way as described in the walking route. It's about a 4-kilometer ride, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way. Look for Gate D on your left at QR79+47F, Kitisuru.
