Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Nairobi city center, walk to the Kencom Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards Kiambu or Limuru. Take a bus that is labeled to stop at the Red Hill area or ask the conductor to let you know when you reach the Red Hill Art Gallery stop. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you alight, ask locals for directions to Gatatha Road, where the gallery is located.

• Matatus

  Head to any major matatu stage, such as the one at Kencom or Railways. Look for matatus labeled 'Gikambura' or 'Zambezi'. Tell the conductor you want to stop at Red Hill. The matatu will take you through the outskirts of Nairobi, and the ride will last about 30-50 minutes. Once you reach Red Hill, get off and follow signs or ask locals for directions to the gallery, which is off St. Julian's Road.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in Nairobi. Cycle from the city center towards the Limuru Road. Head towards the Red Hill area, following signs or using a map app for guidance. The ride will take about 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach St. Julian's Road, look for Gatatha Road where the Red Hill Art Gallery is located.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby in the Red Hill area, you can walk to the gallery. From your accommodation, find your way to St. Julian's Road. Walk along this road until you see the sign for Gatatha Road. The gallery is situated off this road. Make sure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes, as the walk may take around 30-45 minutes depending on your starting point.
