Walking
If you are starting from the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD), head southeast toward Uhuru Highway. Walk along Kenyatta Avenue until you reach Uhuru Highway. Turn left onto Uhuru Highway and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see Uhuru Park on your right side. The park entrance is well marked, and it is a popular spot, so you should find it easily.
Matatu
From the Nairobi CBD, you can take a matatu (shared minibus) heading toward Kenyatta National Hospital or any matatu that passes through Uhuru Highway. Board the matatu at a matatu stage near the Kencom bus station. It will cost around 50 KES. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Uhuru Park. The matatu will drop you close to the park entrance on Uhuru Highway.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the bike-sharing services available in Nairobi. Start from the CBD and head toward Uhuru Highway. Follow the same route as for walking, cycling on the designated bike lanes where available. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, and you'll enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Tuk-tuk
You can also hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in the city. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Uhuru Park on Uhuru Highway. The fare will vary depending on your starting point, but you can expect to pay around 200-400 KES. The tuk-tuk will drop you off directly at the park entrance.
