Walking
Start from Nakuru town center. Head southeast on Kenyatta Avenue towards Moi Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway (A104). Cross over to the other side of the highway. Once on the other side, continue walking on the service road adjacent to the highway heading east. After approximately 1 km, look for a sign for the Lion Hill Lookout on your left. Follow the path indicated by the sign, which will lead you to the entrance of the lookout area. The walk will take about 30-40 minutes.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nakuru town. Start your ride from the town center, heading southeast along Kenyatta Avenue. When you reach the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway (A104), turn right and follow the service road for about 1 km. Look for a sign indicating Lion Hill Lookout on your left. Follow the path to the lookout. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your speed.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From Nakuru town center, find a matatu heading towards Lake Nakuru National Park. These typically leave from the matatu stage near the main bus station. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Lion Hill Lookout. After about 10-15 minutes, the driver will let you off at the correct stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 500 meters following the signs to Lion Hill Lookout. The total journey should take about 30-40 minutes.
