Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nakuru. Start at the town center and head east on Kenyatta Avenue until you reach the junction with Moi Avenue. Turn left onto Moi Avenue and continue until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Old Nairobi Road. Follow Old Nairobi Road for about 10 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signage for Lake Nakuru National Park. When you reach the park entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee. After entering the park, follow the signs to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, which is about 5 kilometers inside the park.

Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
To get to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge via a motorbike taxi, find a boda boda stand in Nakuru. You can ask any local for directions to the nearest stand if you’re unsure. Once you find a boda boda, tell the driver you want to go to Lake Nakuru National Park, and specifically to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. The driver will navigate through the city and head towards Old Nairobi Road, where they will take you directly to the park entrance. Upon arrival at the park entrance, ensure the driver waits for you or arrange for them to pick you up later. After entering the park, the lodge is approximately 5 kilometers ahead, and the driver will help guide you to the lodge.

Walking (with a Guide)
If you prefer to walk and explore the area, consider hiring a local guide who can assist you. Start from the center of Nakuru and head towards Kenyatta Avenue. Walk east until you reach the junction with Moi Avenue. From there, your guide can help you navigate along Old Nairobi Road towards the park. It is a longer journey on foot (approximately 10 kilometers), so be prepared for a hike. Ensure you stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach the park entrance, your guide will help with the entrance fee and lead you to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, which is about 5 kilometers inside the park.
