If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Garissa town, which is one of the main towns in North Eastern Province. Head northeast on the A3 road towards Wajir. After approximately 120 kilometers, you will reach the junction near Wajir. Take the left turn towards Kamwosor. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the village of Kamwosor. The exact location of Kapkiyai is at the coordinates 5MJ5+6M, which is a short drive from the village center. Look for local signage or ask residents for directions, as Kapkiyai is a historical landmark and known among locals.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey from Garissa by taking a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Wajir. The fare is approximately 250 KES. After reaching Wajir, you will need to transfer to another matatu that goes to Kamwosor. The fare for this leg is around 150 KES.
