Car

If you are traveling by car from North Eastern Province, head to the nearest major town such as Garissa or Isiolo. From Garissa, take the A2 highway heading southwest towards Nanyuki. If you are coming from Isiolo, continue on the A2 highway towards Nanyuki. Upon reaching Nanyuki, follow the signposts to Mount Kenya National Park. The park's entrance is located approximately 20 kilometers from the town center. Be prepared for entrance fees which are approximately 1,500 KES for non-residents. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the rural roads.
Public Transportation

For those using public transport, board a matatu (shared taxi) from Garissa or Isiolo to Nanyuki. The journey may take several hours, so plan accordingly. Upon arrival in Nanyuki, you can hire a taxi or take another matatu to the park entrance. Expect to pay around 200 KES for the matatu ride from Nanyuki to the park entrance, and remember to budget for the park entrance fee of about 1,500 KES for non-residents.
