Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Ol Kalou, take the A2 highway towards Nyahururu. After approximately 20 km, turn onto the Rumuruti road (B1) and continue for another 29 km. Follow the signs to Rumuruti town. Once in Rumuruti town, ask locals for directions to the Rumuruti Forest, which is about 5 km from the town center. There are several dirt roads leading to the forest, so make sure you have a map or GPS to assist.

Public Transportation
To reach Rumuruti Forest via public transport, first, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Ol Kalou to Nyahururu. The fare is approximately 100 KES. From Nyahururu, catch another matatu to Rumuruti town, which should cost around 50 KES. Upon arrival in Rumuruti, you can hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or ask a local for directions to the Rumuruti Forest, which is about 5 km from the town.
