Getting There

  • Car Rental

    If you are driving from the town of Lodwar, head east on the C60 road towards the town of Maralal. Continue for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the junction at Wamba. Turn left onto the road heading north towards Samburu. After around 40 kilometers, you will arrive at Sarara Camp located at 295P+Q6 Wamba, Samburu. Ensure you have a reliable vehicle due to the rough terrain in some areas.

  • Public Transportation

    From Lodwar, take a matatu (shared taxi) that heads towards Maralal. Once you reach Maralal, you can catch another matatu that goes to Wamba. Inform the driver that you are headed to Sarara Camp, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a pick-up with Sarara Camp, as the camp is about 10 kilometers from Wamba. It is advisable to contact the camp ahead of time to ensure smooth transportation.
