If you are driving from Watamu, start by heading northwest on the main road (Watamu Road) towards Malindi. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers, following the signs towards Gede. As you approach Gede, you'll see signs indicating the direction to Gede Ruins. Take the left turn onto Gede Watamu Road, and you will find the entrance to Gede Ruins on your right. Make sure to park in the designated parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Gede Ruins using public transportation, head to the Watamu bus station. Look for a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Malindi. Ensure you inform the driver that you want to stop at Gede. The fare should be around 50-100 KES. After about 20 minutes of travel, ask the driver to drop you off at Gede Ruins. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance.
