Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Watamu, head east on Watamu Road towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto Jacaranda Road. The Watamu Snake Farm will be on your left after about 500 meters. Look for a sign at the entrance. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    Catch a matatu (shared taxi) from the main matatu stage in Watamu heading towards Malindi. Inform the driver to drop you at the junction near Jacaranda Road. From there, walk approximately 500 meters down Jacaranda Road towards the beach. The Watamu Snake Farm will be on your left. Fares for the matatu are usually around 50-100 KES.

  • Walking

    If you're staying near the beach area of Watamu, you can walk to the Watamu Snake Farm. Start at Watamu Beach and head inland towards Watamu Road. Once you reach Watamu Road, turn left and walk until you reach the T-junction. Turn right onto Jacaranda Road and continue for about 500 meters. The farm will be on your left side. This should take you around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
