Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Ferizaj Bus Station, located at Rruga e Dëshmorëve. Exit the station and head north on Rruga e Dëshmorëve towards the city center. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rruga 1. Turn left onto Rruga 1 and walk until you reach the main square, Sheshi i Ferizajt. From the square, take Rruga e Shkupi and walk towards the city bus stop where you can take a bus to Skopje. Buses to Skopje depart frequently. After about a 30-minute ride, you will arrive at the main bus station in Skopje. Once you arrive, exit the bus station and walk towards the center of Skopje. The fortress is located near the city center, at Samoilova 1000. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Skopje Fortress, which should be a short walk of about 10-15 minutes from the bus station.

  • Public Transport

    From Ferizaj, make your way to the Ferizaj Bus Station on Rruga e Dëshmorëve. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Skopje; these buses run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the Skopje Bus Station, exit and head towards the city center. You can either walk (around 20 minutes) or take a local bus or taxi. If walking, head north on Boulevard ASHIM DEDHA, and continue until you reach the main square. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Skopje Fortress located at Samoilova 1000.
