    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Bishkek. Drive along the A363 road towards Ala-Archa National Park. The drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the entrance of the park, pay the entrance fee, which is usually around 100 KGS per person. From the entrance, continue driving until you reach the trailhead for Altyn-Arashan. Note that the road may require a 4WD vehicle, especially in bad weather. Park at the designated area near the trailhead.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Altyn-Arashan via public transportation, take a marshrutka (shared taxi) from Bishkek to the Ala-Archa National Park entrance. Marshrutkas leave from the Western Bus Station, and the fare is about 50 KGS. The ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee of around 100 KGS. After entering the park, you can either hike to Altyn-Arashan, which will take around 3-4 hours, or hire a local taxi to take you to the trailhead, which may cost around 500-1000 KGS depending on negotiation.

  • Hiking

    If you prefer to hike, after reaching the trailhead from either a car or public transportation, follow the marked trail towards Altyn-Arashan. The hike is about 10 kilometers and takes approximately 3-4 hours. The path is well-trodden but can be steep in some sections.
