Car
If you're traveling by car from Arslanbob Walnut Forest, start by heading east on the main road towards Jalal-Abad. After about 15 kilometers, you will reach the town of Jalal-Abad. From there, take the road towards Barskoon village. The road will lead you directly towards the Barskoon Waterfall area. The total drive should take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to have a GPS or a map as some signs may not be in English.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can catch a shared taxi (marshrutka) from Arslanbob to Jalal-Abad. The fare is usually around 50-100 KGS and the journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once in Jalal-Abad, look for a taxi or a local marshrutka heading to Barskoon village, which should cost about 100-150 KGS. After reaching Barskoon village, you can either hike or take a local taxi directly to the waterfall, which should be an additional 10-15 KGS.
Hiking
If you prefer to hike from Barskoon village to Barskoon Waterfall, it's a scenic 5 km walk. The trailhead starts in the center of Barskoon village; you can ask locals for directions. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views, but be prepared for a moderate hike that may take 1 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes and carry water.
