Getting There

Car
From Chatyr-Kul Lake, head southeast on the main road towards the town of Naryn. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers (about 18.6 miles). As you approach Naryn, look for signs that indicate a left turn towards Pereval Starykh Kontrabandist. The turnoff is well marked, and you will see some local signs in Kyrgyz. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) until you reach the hiking area. Please note that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
To use public transportation, start at the main bus station in Chatyr-Kul Lake and take a minibus heading to Naryn. The fare is usually around 100 KGS (Kyrgyz Som).
