From the center of Karakol, start at Ala-Too Square. Head east on Lenin Street towards Kirova Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Gagarin Street. Turn left onto Gagarin Street and walk until you see the sign for Altyn-Arashan. The trailhead is about 6 km from this point. Follow the marked path leading to Altyn-Arashan, which will take you through beautiful mountainous scenery.
