Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Attapeu City. Head east on Road 16, then take the exit towards Houay Kong. Continue on this road for about 50 kilometers until you reach Houay Kong. Once in Houay Kong, follow the signs leading to Tad Koo Waterfall. The last stretch to the waterfall may involve navigating an unnamed road (3GWM+G7P). Ensure to have a good map or GPS system as this road may not be well-marked.
Public Transportation
To reach Tad Koo Waterfall via public transport, take a local bus from the Attapeu bus station heading towards Houay Kong. The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Houay Kong, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to reach the waterfall. The cost for the tuk-tuk should be around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK (Lao Kip) depending on your negotiation skills.

If you’re already in Houay Kong and need a tuk-tuk to Tad Koo Waterfall, you can easily find one at the local market or bus station. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your trip. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes, and expect to pay around 30,000 LAK. Ensure the driver knows the exact location (3GWM+G7P, Unnamed Road) to avoid any confusion.
