Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the provincial capital, Pak Beng. Head east on Route 13 for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 4. Turn left onto Route 4 and continue for about 30 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Pha Bong. The entire trip should take around 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Pak Beng to Huay Xai. The bus departs from the main bus station and tickets cost around 40,000 LAK. Once in Huay Xai, you can catch a local minivan or tuk-tuk to Pha Bong. The fare for the minivan is approximately 20,000 LAK, and the journey will take about 30 to 45 minutes.
Tuk-Tuk
If you prefer a more direct route, hire a tuk-tuk from Huay Xai to Pha Bong. Negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay between 150,000 to 200,000 LAK for a private ride. The trip should take about 30 minutes, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.
