Car
If you are driving, start from Vientiane. Take Route 13 North towards Bolikhamxay Province. After about 120 km, turn onto Route 8 towards Paksan. Follow this road for approximately 20 km until you see signs for Limestone Forest Viewpoint, which will lead you onto a smaller road. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the viewpoint parking area. Make sure to have a GPS or map handy as some signs may be limited.
Public Transportation
From Vientiane, you can take a bus to Paksan. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive in Paksan, you can hire a local tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi to take you to the Limestone Forest Viewpoint. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes and cost around 30,000 to 50,000 LAK (Lao Kip). Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
If you are already near the viewpoint and wish to hike, make sure to start from the nearest town, which is Paksan. It's approximately a 10 km walk uphill to the viewpoint along a dirt path. Ensure you have proper hiking shoes and enough water, as the terrain can be rugged.
