Car
If you are driving from the center of Vientiane, head south on Lane Xang Avenue (also known as Road 13) towards the Mekong River. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue Setthathirath. Turn right onto Rue Setthathirath and continue for approximately 500 meters. You will see Wat Inpeng on your left, located at XJ82+JWG. There is usually parking available nearby.
Public Bus
From the main bus station in Vientiane, take any bus heading towards the city center. You can ask the bus driver to drop you off near Wat Inpeng. The fare is usually around 5,000 LAK (Laotian Kip). Once you arrive in the city center, walk towards Rue Setthathirath, and you will see Wat Inpeng within a short 10-minute walk.
Tuk-Tuk
Hail a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Vientiane. Inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Inpeng, which is a recognizable landmark. The fare should be around 20,000 - 30,000 LAK depending on your starting point. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, walking to Wat Inpeng is a great option. From the Patuxai monument, head south on Lane Xang Avenue for about 1 kilometer, then turn right onto Rue Setthathirath. Walk for another 500 meters, and you will find Wat Inpeng on your left. This is a pleasant walk, and you can enjoy the local scenery along the way.
