History of Central Laos

The Lane Xang Kingdom, known as the 'Land of a Million Elephants,' was established by King Fa Ngum in 1353. Central Laos played a crucial role in the kingdom's expansion, with its fertile lands and strategic location facilitating the growth of trade and agriculture.
