Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start from the capital of Houaphanh Province, Xam Neua. Head east on Route 6 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Mường Xon. Once in Mường Xon, keep an eye out for signs directing you to TardKon Waterfall. The waterfall is located approximately 10 kilometers northwest of Mường Xon. The last stretch of road may be a bit rough, so drive carefully. There are no entrance fees for the waterfall, but it's a good idea to have some cash for any refreshments or local guides.

Public Transportation

To visit TardKon Waterfall using public transportation, first, take a local bus from Xam Neua to Mường Xon. Buses depart from the main bus station and the journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 15,000 LAK. Upon arriving in Mường Xon, you can hire a tuk-tuk or motorbike taxi to take you to TardKon Waterfall, which is about 10 kilometers away.
