Car
If you are driving from the capital of Khammouane Province, Thakhek, head north on Route 13 for about 70 kilometers. After approximately 50 kilometers, you will reach the town of Nongbok. Continue on Route 13 until you see the sign for Xiangliab. Turn onto the road toward Xiangliab and follow the signs for approximately 15 kilometers until you arrive at Thafalang. Make sure to have a map or GPS enabled as mobile signal can be weak in some areas.

From Thakhek, take a local bus heading north towards Nongbok. These buses leave frequently from the central bus station. The fare is typically around 20,000 LAK (Lao Kip).
