From Thakhek, drive east on Route 12 for about 13-14 km. Look for a sign for Xieng Liap Cave just after a bridge. Turn south onto the dirt road. If you see signs for 'The Falang' or 'Green Climbers Home,' you've gone too far. Parking near the school costs around 5,000-10,000 LAK.

Hire a tuk-tuk from Thakhek to Xieng Liap Cave. Negotiate the fare beforehand; a typical fare ranges from 50,000 to 80,000 LAK, depending on the distance. Ensure the driver knows the cave's location or show them the coordinates (17.453456° N, 104.909194° E).

Xieng Liap Cave, also known as Tham Xiang Liap, is a must-see natural attraction located a short distance from Thakhek in Laos.
