If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city in the Mekong River Valley, such as Pakse. From Pakse, head north on Route 13 for about 50 kilometers. When you reach the junction near the town of Champasak, turn left onto Route 18. Continue on Route 18 for approximately 35 kilometers until you see signs for Tham Pha Ka. The cave is located just off the main road, with parking available nearby. Be aware that fuel stations may be sparse, so fill up before your journey.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Pakse to Champasak. Buses leave frequently throughout the day and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Champasak, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a motorcycle taxi to take you to Tham Pha Ka. The ride will take around 30 minutes and you should negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from 20,000 to 40,000 LAK depending on your negotiation skills.
