Getting There

Car
From Luang Prabang, take Route 13 north for approximately 2 hours until you reach the junction with Route 1C. Turn left onto Route 1C and continue for about 1 hour until you reach Nong Khiaw. Once in Nong Khiaw, look for signs leading to the viewpoint, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from the town center. Parking is available near the trailhead.

Public Transportation
From Luang Prabang, take a minivan or bus from the Northern Bus Station to Nong Khiaw. The journey takes around 3-4 hours, and it typically costs between 50,000 to 100,000 LAK. Once in Nong Khiaw, hire a tuk-tuk to take you to the Nong Khiaw Viewpoint trailhead. This ride should cost about 20,000 to 30,000 LAK and will take around 15 minutes.

If you prefer to hike to the viewpoint, start at the center of Nong Khiaw and follow the signs to the viewpoint trailhead. The hike is moderately challenging and takes about 30-45 minutes.
