Getting there

Car

If you're driving from Luang Prabang, head north on Route 13 for approximately 150 kilometers. Upon reaching the junction near Udomxai, turn left onto Route 1C. Continue for about 40 kilometers until you reach Muang Ngoy. Look for signs directing you towards Phanoi Viewpoint, which is located on an unnamed road about 5 kilometers from the center of Muang Ngoy. Please note that parking may be limited at the viewpoint.

Public Transportation (Bus)

To reach Phanoi Viewpoint via public transportation, take a bus from Luang Prabang to Muang Ngoy. The bus station in Luang Prabang is located near the city center. Buses typically leave in the morning and the journey takes about 5-6 hours. Upon arrival in Muang Ngoy, you can hire a local tuk-tuk (approximately 30,000 kip) to take you to Phanoi Viewpoint, which is about 5 kilometers away from the town center.
