    From the Royal Palace Museum, walk along Sisavongvang Road towards Mount Phousi. You'll find the main entrance with 328 steps leading to the summit. Alternatively, from the Nam Khan River side, locate Thanon Phousi and ascend the 355 steps, passing various cultural sites. Entrance fee to Mount Phousi is 20,000 kip, payable halfway up the stairs.

    Tuk-tuks are readily available throughout Luang Prabang. A short tuk-tuk ride from the city center to the base of Mount Phousi should cost approximately 20,000-30,000 kip, but negotiate the price beforehand. From there, follow the walking directions to ascend the mountain. Remember to factor in the 20,000 kip entrance fee for Mount Phousi.
