Getting There

  • Car

    If driving from Pakse, head south on Road 13, then take the exit onto Route 23 towards Paksong. Continue on Route 23 for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Tad Gneuang Waterfall as you approach Ban Lak 40. Turn left onto the access road that leads directly to the waterfall. Parking is available near the entrance. Be aware that the road can be bumpy in sections.

  • Public Transportation

    From Pakse, take a local bus or shared taxi heading to Paksong. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Pakse. The fare is approximately 20,000 to 30,000 LAK per person. Once you arrive in Paksong, hire a tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi for about 50,000 LAK to take you to Tad Gneuang Waterfall. Negotiate the fare before starting your ride.

  • Walking

    If staying in nearby Ban Lak 40, you can walk to Tad Gneuang Waterfall. It is about a 15 to 20-minute walk from the village to the waterfall, following the dirt paths that lead through the forest. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the hike can be steep in some areas.
