Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Phakse town center. Head north on Route 13 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Route 20. Turn left onto Route 20 and continue for about 6 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Nam Xay Viewpoint, which will be on the right. The road may be bumpy, so drive carefully.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Nam Xay Viewpoint using public transport, take a minibus from Phakse to Naka village. The minibus departs from the main bus station in Phakse and costs around 20,000 LAK. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off near the entrance to Nam Xay Viewpoint. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer up a dirt path to reach the viewpoint itself. Be prepared for a bit of a hike!

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Phakse. From the town center, head north on Route 13 and then take a left onto Route 20. It's about a 20-kilometer ride to the viewpoint, so ensure you have plenty of water and snacks. The last stretch may involve some uphill biking, so be prepared for a workout!

• Walking

  If you're close to Naka village, you can walk to Nam Xay Viewpoint. From the village center, follow the signs leading towards the viewpoint. It's about a 1-kilometer walk along a dirt path, which can be steep in places, so wear comfortable shoes.
