Car
If you are driving a car, start from Phongsaly town. Head north on Route 1 towards the village of ບ້ານນາຖົວ. After approximately 15 kilometers, look for the signs indicating ຖ້ຳມົກແຝກ Mok Faek Cave. The cave is located at coordinates 20.812045, 101.783234. There is a small parking area near the entrance of the cave.
Public Transportation (Songthaew)
To reach ຖ້ຳມົກແຝກ Mok Faek Cave via public transportation, take a songthaew (shared taxi) from Phongsaly town to ບ້ານນາຖົວ. The fare is approximately 10,000 LAK per person. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at ບ້ານນາຖົວ, you can either walk to the cave, which is about 1-2 kilometers away, or hire a local scooter for a small fee.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from ບ້ານນາຖົວ to ຖ້ຳມົກແຝກ Mok Faek Cave, follow the dirt path leading from the village towards the cave. It’s a scenic walk through the countryside and will take around 30-45 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
