Car
From the center of Phou Bia, head south on Route 13 for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through several small villages. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Vang Vieng, as Nam Song River is located near this popular destination. Continue on Route 13 until you reach the intersection with Route 10. Turn left onto Route 10 and follow it for about 5 kilometers. You will see the Nam Song River on your right; there are various spots along the river where you can stop and enjoy the scenery.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From the main bus station in Phou Bia, look for a local bus heading towards Vang Vieng. The bus ride will cost approximately 40,000 LAK and takes around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Nam Song River; they will drop you off at the nearest point. Once you disembark, walk towards the river, which is only a short distance away.
Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Phou Bia. Negotiate a fare before starting your journey; it should cost around 100,000 LAK for a round trip to Nam Song River. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to take you directly to the river, and they will know the best routes to reach your destination.
