Getting There

Walking

The Nong Khiaw Viewpoint trail starts near the Nong Khiaw bridge, about 300m south. From the bridge, walk south along the main road. Look for the colorful sign on the left marking the entrance to Pha Daeng Viewpoint. Pay the entry fee of 20,000 kip (approximately £1.80 or $1.18 USD) at the kiosk. Walking sticks are available at the starting point. The climb takes 1-2 hours.
Public Transport

From Luang Prabang, take a bus or minivan to Nong Khiaw. Buses cost around $9 USD and the journey takes approximately 4 hours. From the Nong Khiaw bus station, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the bridge and the start of the viewpoint trail. Alternatively, take a tuk-tuk from the bus station to the bridge for around 20,000-30,000 kip.
