From Thakhek, head to the local bus station located near the center of town. Look for a bus heading to 'Kong Lor' or 'Nahin' (the town near the cave). The bus ride usually takes about 2-3 hours. Make sure to confirm with the bus driver that they will stop at Kong Lor Cave. The fare is typically around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK.

Once you arrive in Nahin, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to Kong Lor Cave. The tuk-tuk drivers are usually familiar with the area and will take you directly to the entrance of the cave. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes and cost approximately 50,000 to 70,000 LAK.

If you prefer to walk and are feeling adventurous, from the bus stop in Nahin, you can walk to Kong Lor Cave. Follow the main road (Route 12) southeast for about 6 kilometers.
