From Vang Vieng town center, start at the main street where most restaurants and shops are located. Head northwest, passing the Vang Vieng Market. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the road leading to the Blue Lagoon. Turn right and follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the way to Phapoak Mountain. Continue walking until you reach the mountain trail entrance. The total walking distance from Vang Vieng center is about 3 kilometers. Expect to pay around 10,000 Kip for the entrance fee.

Tuk-Tuk
Hire a tuk-tuk from the main tuk-tuk station near the bus station in Vang Vieng. Negotiate the fare before setting off; a round trip should cost approximately 30,000 to 50,000 LAK. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to the base of Phapoak Mountain. From there, it's a 30-minute climb to the summit. Remember to bring 10,000 Kip for the entrance fee.
