Continue for approximately 4 kilometers west along the main road, following signs for Pha Ngern Viewpoint. The trailhead is clearly marked. The walk from town to the trailhead takes about 1.5 hours.

    Hire a tuk-tuk from Vang Vieng town center to the Pha Ngern Trailhead. Negotiate the fare beforehand; a typical one-way fare is around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK.
