Walking
From Vang Vieng town center, walk west, crossing the Nam Song River. You can use either the toll bridge (4,000 kip) or the free footbridge. Continue 4km west of Vang Vieng. The walk from town takes about 40 minutes to 1.5 hours. Follow the road towards Blue Lagoon 1, and look for a small sign indicating the turnoff to Pha Ngern Viewpoint. Follow the dirt road for 10 minutes to reach the entrance. Pay the 10,000-20,000 kip entrance fee.
Motorbike/Scooter
Rent a motorbike or scooter in Vang Vieng (approx. 150,000 kip per day). Cross the Nam Song River via the toll bridge (6,000 kip). Follow the road west for approximately 4km. Look for the 'Pha Ngern Silvercliff View Point Mountain' sign. Turn onto the dirt road and continue to the parking area near the trailhead. Pay the 10,000-20,000 kip entrance fee.
Tuk-tuk
Hire a tuk-tuk from Vang Vieng town center. Negotiate the fare to the Pha Ngern Viewpoint trailhead (approximately 20,000-600,000 kip, depending on the distance and negotiation skills). The tuk-tuk will drop you off near the trailhead entrance. Pay the 10,000-20,000 kip entrance fee.
