Car
If you are driving from central Vientiane, take Lane Xang Avenue south towards the Mekong River. Continue straight until you reach Rue Setthathilath. Turn right onto Rue Setthathilath and follow it for about 1 km. Wat Mixai will be on your left at the address XJ84+532, Rue Setthathilath, Hom 8. There is usually street parking available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation (Tuk-Tuk)
To reach Wat Mixai by tuk-tuk, find a tuk-tuk stand near your location or flag one down on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Wat Mixai, located at XJ84+532, Rue Setthathilath. The fare should be around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK (Lao Kip) depending on your starting point. The driver will take you directly to the temple. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer to take a bus, look for local buses that head towards the city center. Many buses pass through Vientiane and will drop you off near the main square. From there, you can either walk or take a short tuk-tuk ride to Wat Mixai. Walking from the main square to the temple will take about 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye out for signage pointing towards Rue Setthathilath.
