Walking
If you are in the center of Vientiane, start by heading towards the Mekong River. From the Patuxai Monument, walk south along Lane Xang Avenue for about 1 kilometer. Once you reach the riverfront, continue walking eastward along the riverbank. You will see Chao Anouvong Park directly ahead, just a short 500-meter walk from the riverbank. The park is well-signposted and features beautiful landscapes and views of the Mekong.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Vientiane. Start at the Morning Market (Talat Sao) and head south on Lane Xang Avenue. After approximately 1 kilometer, take a left to reach the riverfront. Cycle east along the riverbank for about 500 meters, and you will find Chao Anouvong Park. This route is pleasant and allows you to enjoy the scenery along the river.
Tuk-Tuk
To reach Chao Anouvong Park by tuk-tuk, find one at a tuk-tuk station or hail one on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Chao Anouvong Park. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic. Most drivers are familiar with the park, so you can simply show them the name if needed. Once you arrive, you'll see the park entrance leading directly to the beautiful green spaces and views of the Mekong River.
