Walking
From the center of Vientiane, head east on Rue Pangkham. If you are near the Patuxai Monument, walk south along Avenue Lane Xang until you reach Rue Pangkham. Turn left onto Rue Pangkham and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. The Nam Phou Fountain will be on your right side.
Tuk-Tuk
If you're near the Morning Market (Talat Sao), you can easily take a tuk-tuk. Just tell the driver 'Nam Phou Fountain' or show them the address 'XJ75+R6W, Rue Pangkham'. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right near the fountain.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Mekong Riverfront and head towards the city center. Take the road leading to Avenue Lane Xang, then turn left onto Rue Pangkham. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you see the Nam Phou Fountain on your right. It's a pleasant ride along the tree-lined streets.
Public Bus
Look for bus number 14, which travels through the city. Get on the bus at the nearest stop and inform the driver you want to go to Nam Phou Fountain. The bus will take you close to the fountain. Once you get off, walk a short distance down Rue Pangkham, and you will see the fountain ahead.
