Walking
If you are in the center of Vientiane, start at the Patuxai Monument (Victory Gate). Head east on Lane Xang Road, passing the Presidential Palace on your left. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Vientiane Road. Turn left onto Vientiane Road, and walk for approximately 500 meters. From the center of Vientiane, you can easily find a tuk-tuk by going to a nearby street corner. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Vientiane Road.' Make sure to mention the landmark 'near Patuxai Monument' if they are unfamiliar with the exact location. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of Vientiane Road, and look for Laos Private Tour Guide & Car Service on your right.

If you're renting a bicycle, start from the Mekong Riverfront. Head north along the river until you reach Lane Xang Road.
