Getting There

Walking
From the center of Vientiane, head east on Rue Setthathirath towards the Mekong River. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the riverfront. Continue walking along the river until you reach the bridge that crosses into Thailand. Cross the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge on foot, which is about 1.2 kilometers long. Once in Thailand, follow the signs leading to Nong Khai. After crossing the bridge, you can take a tuk-tuk or walk about 2 kilometers to reach Tha Sadet Market, located near the riverside.

Tuk-Tuk
From any hotel in central Vientiane, ask a tuk-tuk driver to take you to the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. The ride should take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the bridge, pay the toll to cross into Thailand. After crossing, take another tuk-tuk from the bridge to Tha Sadet Market. The market is located approximately 2 kilometers from the bridge, so make sure to communicate clearly with the driver.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Vientiane. Start by heading east on Rue Setthathirath towards the Mekong. Once you reach the river, continue along the riverbank towards the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. The bike ride to the bridge is about 2 kilometers. After crossing the bridge into Thailand, continue cycling for another 2 kilometers to reach Tha Sadet Market. Be cautious of traffic as you navigate the roads.
