Walking
From the center of Vientiane, head east on Rue Setthathirath until you reach the Mekong River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank. Continue walking until you reach the Friendship Bridge. Cross the bridge, which will take you into Nong Khai, Thailand. After crossing, continue straight on Route 2 and follow the signs for Nong Khai city center. Once you reach the center, follow the signs to Tha Sadet Market, which is located at VPPW+6W9, Nai Mueang, Mueang Nong Khai District.
Bus
Take a local bus from the Vientiane Bus Station (located near the center of Vientiane). Look for buses heading to Nong Khai; they usually have signs at the front. The journey should take about an hour. Once you arrive at the Nong Khai Bus Station, exit and walk towards the main road. From there, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to Tha Sadet Market, which is approximately 1.5 km from the bus station.
Tuk-Tuk
If you're in the city center of Vientiane, you can easily hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to Tha Sadet Market. Simply tell the driver 'Tha Sadet Market' or show them the address: VPPW+6W9, Nai Mueang, Mueang Nong Khai District. The ride should take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic and the time it takes to cross the Friendship Bridge.
