If you are starting from the center of Vientiane, head east along Rue Setthathirath until you reach the intersection with Rue Chao Anouvong. Turn left onto Rue Chao Anouvong and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for the large golden stupa in the distance, which is THATLUANG Temple. Once you reach the end of Rue Chao Anouvong, turn right onto Rue Thatluang, and follow the road until you see the entrance to the temple on your left.

If you prefer to rent a bicycle, start in the city center and head east along Rue Setthathirath. When you reach Rue Chao Anouvong, turn left and cycle for approximately 1.5 kilometers.
