Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the city center, head north on Lane Xang Avenue. You will pass by the National Museum of Laos on your left. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Setthathirath Road. Turn left onto Setthathirath Road and walk straight for another 500 meters. You will see Patuxay Park ahead, marked by its impressive archway.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the city center. Start on Lane Xang Avenue and cycle north for about 1 kilometer, passing the National Museum of Laos. Turn left onto Setthathirath Road and continue for another 500 meters. Patuxay Park will be visible ahead. There are bike racks available near the entrance for you to secure your bicycle.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    Find a tuk-tuk stand near your location. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Patuxay Park, also known as 'Patuxai' in Lao. The ride will typically take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. They will drop you off right in front of the archway of Patuxay Park, which is hard to miss.

  • Public Bus

    Locate the nearest bus stop and check the bus routes. Take bus number 14, which runs towards the Patuxay area. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Patuxay stop. From there, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the main entrance of the park.
