If you are driving, start from Phonsavan, the capital city of Xiangkhoang Province. Take Route 7 heading east for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 1D. Turn left onto Route 1D and continue for approximately 15 kilometers. You will see signs for ຜາປ່ອງ (Pha Pong) as you approach. The destination is located at 82G7+55, Muang Pot, which you can enter into your GPS for precise navigation.
Public Transportation
To reach ຜາປ່ອງ using public transportation, first take a local bus from Phonsavan to Muang Pot. The bus station in Phonsavan is located near the city center. Buses run approximately every hour, and the fare is around 15,000 LAK. The journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving in Muang Pot, you can either walk (approximately 5 km) or hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to ຜາປ່ອງ for around 30,000 LAK.
Tuk-Tuk
For those who prefer more direct transport, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Phonsavan to ຜາປ່ອງ. The fare is typically around 200,000 LAK for a round trip, and the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Negotiate the price beforehand and ensure the driver understands the destination.
